About Zenero
Zenero is a carbon and sustainability software company helping fashion and lifestyle brands trace their supply chains, meet global compliance requirements, and turn verified impact data into consumer-facing marketing. Our platform powers Digital Product Passports, Carbon Labels, Carbon Accounting, and Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) Reports for over 50 brands worldwide.
As regulations like the EU ESPR and Green Claims Directive reshape how products are sold, Zenero gives brands a single system of record to move from fragmented data to trusted, audit-grade impact disclosure.
Internship overview
Zenero is offering a 6-month Full Stack Engineer internship for people who want hands-on experience building the software brands use to measure and publish product impact. You will work in React.js, Next.js, and Node.js on the product itself: the interface customers use, the services behind it, and the connections to the product and supplier data brands already have.
This internship is designed to give you real engineering work from day one, close mentorship from the people building the product, and a foundation for a career in software engineering.
This role is primarily for applicants in India, but people based elsewhere are free to apply as well.
What you will do
- Build and improve features on the landing website and the platform, in React.js and Next.js, and the Node.js services behind them
- Work on product flows for carbon labels, Digital Product Passports, reporting, and the data that feeds them
- Help bring product and supplier data in through uploads, APIs, and the systems brands already use
- Fix bugs, write clear code, and keep existing features reliable as the product changes
- Work with the team to turn a customer problem into something that ships
- Take feedback in review and revise your work until it is ready for customers
What we are looking for
- A background or strong interest in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. All backgrounds are welcome
- Available to commit to a 6-month internship
- Comfortable building on both the frontend and the backend, or ready to learn the side you know less well
- Some experience with React.js, Next.js, and Node.js, from coursework, personal projects, or a previous internship
- Able to read an existing codebase, ask questions, and ship a small change carefully
- A link to projects, a GitHub profile, or coursework you have built is a plus
- Interest in climate, sustainability, or supply chains is a plus
- No prior professional engineering experience is required
What Zenero offers
- Real, hands-on experience shipping product features that customers use
- Exposure to a fast-growing industry at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and regulation
- A certificate of completion and a strong reference for future job applications
- The possibility of a full-time offer at the end of the internship for strong performers
